Rebecca offers a range of permanent make up techniques to create brows bespoke to you. These include microblading, ombré/powder, or combination brows. At the appointment, Rebecca will speak to you about your expectations, assess your skin type and brows, before recommending the best techniques for you.

Permanent make up on the brows has many advantages. Brows are what frame and lift your face. The treatment has become increasingly more popular over the years as techniques have developed. Whether you are looking for better symmetry, more fullness/definition, or even if you suffer with complete hair loss and need new brows from scratch, Rebecca is able to create the perfect brow for you.

Microblading is performed using a manual, disposable, hand held tool. The tool is composed of tiny needles, resembling the shape of a blade, to hand draw each individual hair and simultaneously implant pigment into the skin. Each new hairstroke that is drawn is meant to mimic a natural hair and seamlessly blend in with the clients existing eyebrows to add colour and fullness, resulting in a very natural result. Microblading tends to be more suited to those with ‘normal’ skin and small pores. Clients with oily skin and open pores are more suited to a powder or combination brow.

Powder/Ombré Brows

Powder/ombré brows is a cosmetic permanent make up technique, designed to create brows with a soft powder effect, very similar to powder make up. Powder brows are created with a shading technique using a digital device, which is similar to a tattoo gun. A tiny needle is used to place pigment into the skin with a quick hand motion, resulting in a pixelated effect of powder make up. In order to add density, the pixels can be layered repetitively, meaning the brows can be as natural or as defined as you like. This can range from a dusty, ‘barely there’ brow, up to a bold, editorial, ‘make up’ brow, meaning powder brows are very versatile and suitable for everyone. Your desired results would be discussed on the day. Powder brows are suited to all skin types.

Combination Brows

Combination brows, also known as ‘Blade & Shade’ brows is a combination of two forms of permanent make up techniques – microblading and powder brows (shading). The powder effect is applied to the body of the brow using a digital device to give the brow its fullness. Hair strokes are then added to the front and sometimes through the brow, for added texture and to create a more ‘fluffy’ finish. This method is better suited to those with more normal skin and smaller pores.

Permanent Make Up FAQ's

No treatments can be performed if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

You have to be off any Acne medication for at least 12 months.

If you suffer from cold sores in the treatment area you must ask your Doctor for a prescription of Aciclovir tablets prior to your appointment. If you are unable to get them, with enough notice, we may be able to arrange a private prescription (charges will apply).

If your lips are excessively dry or chapped we will not be able to carry out your treatment – please make sure you exfoliate and balm your lips for at least a week before your appointment.

If you are taking any medication that thins the blood, have an autoimmune disorder or medical condition it must be disclosed before booking, a doctors consent form may be required or in some cases treatment will not be possible.

If you already have permanent makeup on the area we MUST SEE PHOTOS before we can book you in. Unfortunately we can not guarantee that we will be able to work with existing permanent make up without removal.
I draw the design template on your face so you get an idea of shape and form. I don’t use stencils, I work with your own natural bone structure. Everyone is different and one eyebrow/lip shape does not suit all. I take a photo of you and your design and work with the symmetry of your face making sure that when you are in a relaxed state your makeup is as even as possible. Everything is a bespoke design to you. I use a Sterile micro-pigmentation handset/tool and disposable blades/needles during your procedure. I use EU Regulated Permanent Makeup high quality pigments, specially manufactured for micropigmentation.
Depending on how well you look after your new permanent enhancement, your skin type and the amount of UV exposure, brows should last between 12-24 months; lips 18-24 months. A colour boost will be required after this time, to keep them looking fresh; this is priced accordingly.
Discomfort is minimal. We numb the area prior and during treatment so you are as comfortable as possible during treatment. It is not uncommon for our clients to fall asleep while having permanent make up!
Everyone’s skin heals differently and most clients develop patchy areas or the appearance of fading after the first treatment. It is important to understand that this is a two part process and the second, perfecting session will complete the procedure. This will be booked in at your first appointment. Please be patient and most importantly - do not panic!
